Juanita Steele (Greene), 99, passed away peacefully, leaving a legacy of faith, family, and quiet strength. Born in Logan, Ohio, she moved to Columbus in the early 1940s and made her home there for the remainder of her life. She retired from Prudential Insurance after many years of dedicated service.
A devoted member of the Order of the Eastern Star for more than 75 years, Juanita was also a longtime and active member of Columbia Heights United Methodist Church for over 60 years. Her steadfast faith and gentle presence left a lasting impression on all who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Electa Greene; her sister, Genevieve (Cliff) Courter; and her grandson, Joseph Mahoney Sr. Juanita is survived by her daughter, Coni Mahoney; granddaughter, Jill Mahoney; great-grandsons, Joey (Macey) Mahoney and Blake (Hayley) Mahoney; great-great-granddaughters, Willow and Lillian; nephew, Rick (Jean) Courter; great-nephews, Christopher (Jen) Courter and Casey (Sally) Courter; great-niece, Kenzie Courter; and many other loving family members and friends.
