She was born on August 1, 1955, to Felix Porras Sr. and Gloria Duenes in Corpus Christi, Texas.She was raised in Corpus Christi, where she built a life centered around love and family.Juanita was married to her beloved husband, Raul Franco, for 48 wonderful years. She was employed by the Corpus Christi Caller-Times for many years, where she dedicated herself to her work with pride.Juanita was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She treasured spending time with her husband, children, grandchildren, family, and friends. Her home was always filled with warmth, laughter, and the comforting aroma of her cooking and baking.She will forever be remembered for her deep love and devotion to her family, her joyful laughter, her quick sense of humor, and her generous heart. She had a passion for cooking, baking, crafting, and many other hobbies that brought happiness not only to herself but to everyone around her.Juanita was preceded in death by her father, Felix Porras Sr.; her mother, Gloria Duenes; her grandfather, Emeterio Rendon Garza; her grandmother, Virginia Calderon Garza; her brothers, Rafael Garza Porras and Felix Porras Jr.; and her sister, Evangelina Porras Cantu.Left to cherish her memory are her loving husband, Raul Franco; her brother, Jesse Duenes Sr. (Martha); her children, Reymundo Gaytan Jr. (Christina), Gloria Gaytan Torres (Martin), Joe Dean Gaytan (Rosa), and Veronica Franco; her stepchildren, Melissa Franco Abrigo (Edward), Elisa Franco, and Raul Franco Jr.; her grandchildren, Valerie Marie Whidden (Bruce), Reymundo Gaytan III (Brandie), Joe Ray Gaytan (Heather), Eusebio Matthew Flores IV, Samantha Marie Gaytan, and Mila Raelynn Moreno; her step-grandchildren, Tabitha Vasquez Flores (William), Janelle Flores, Jesse Flores Jr., Luis Aguirre, and Derek Abrigo; as well as 14 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.Public Visitation will be held from 5:00 - 9:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 15, 2026, at Seaside Funeral Home Chapel, with the Holy Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. that evening.Visitation will resume at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, March 16, 2026, at St. Pius X Catholic Church, with the Funeral Mass to be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Entombment will follow at Seaside Memorial Park - Garden Mausoleum IV.Having the distinguished honor of serving as pallbearers are:Joe Ray Gaytan, Eusebio Matthew Flores IV, Jesse Duenes Jr., Timothy Duenes, Martin Torres, and Jeff Wilson.She has entered eternal rest and is now reunited with those who went before her, held in the arms of the Lord she trusted and the love she carried throughout her life.In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Seaside Memorial Park.Read The Full ObituaryTo plant trees in memory, please visit the Sympathy Store.
