Juanita Ortiz

Juanita Ortiz passed away on March 10, 2026. Born on August 13, 1964 in Passaic, New Jersey, she remained a lifelong resident of the city. She was the daughter of the late Luis Santiago Ortiz and the late Leola Williams Ortiz, and the wife of the late Juan Jamie Magdaleno.

She is survived by her sons Rolando Pabon, 46, Jamie Luis Magdaleno, 24, and Miguel Angel Magdaleno, 22; her stepdaughter Yamira Magdaleno and her two children and grandchildren; her sister Ramona Ortiz and her three daughters and ten great-nieces and great-nephews; and her sister Juanita Ortiz Santiago.

Known affectionately as the Bingo Queen, Juanita worked at the Boys and Girls Club of Lodi for the last sixteen years of her life. She cherished her three sons and found great joy in playing bingo.
