Juan G. Izquierdo, born on July 11, 1936, in Maricao, Puerto Rico, passed away peacefully on March 15, 2026. He was predeceased by his beloved wife Eugenia Rodriguez.
Juan was born in Maricao, Puerto Rico and the son of the late Elisa Mojica and Santos Izquierdo. He spent his early years in Puerto Rico, where he worked as a skilled carpenter in commercial construction. Known for his strong work ethic and dedication, he later moved to the United States in search of new opportunities. While in the States, Juan worked in the restaurant at the Sheraton Hotel and at Parker Metal factory, often balancing both jobs at the same time. His commitment to providing for his family showed in everything he did.
Juan was a hardworking man who also knew how to enjoy life. He was a devoted fan of the New York Yankees and loved baseball. In his free time, he enjoyed playing pool and dominos, riding his bicycle, listening to music, and dancing—something he was especially good at and loved to do. He also cherished spending time with family and friends, often relaxing together while enjoying a cold beer and sharing laughter and stories.
He leaves behind family who will deeply miss him including his children Gilbert, Ruth and Ruben; grandchildren Angelica, Maria, Carlos, Luis and Jordan; great grandchildren Maurico, Jr., Nailea, Douglas, Miguel Jr., Xavier, Angel, Eugenia, Angelice and Luis.
Family and friends are welcomed to a celebration of Juan’s life with visiting from 9:00am until 12:00pm on Friday, March 20th at Callahan, Fay & Caswell Life Celebration Home, 61 Myrtle Street, Worcester. A burial will follow in Hope Cemetery, Worcester.
