In his brief time, Juan Carlos was deeply cherished by his mother and father, who held him with tenderness and hope for the future that was not to be. Though his life was measured in days, the love he inspired in his family will remain with them always.
He is survived by his parents, Juan Duque and Aisha Figueroa.
