Juan Borjas Lopez

Juan Borjas Lopez, age 86, passed away peacefully on March 6, 2026. He was born on July 9, 1939, to Nicolas and Isabel Borjas.

Juan found deep satisfaction in life’s simple pleasures. He enjoyed fishing, playing pool, and gathering with others for bingo. He was often seen scratching lottery tickets with hope and laughter, and he loved to dance and cook for his family. Above all, he cherished reading the Bible, which remained a guiding force in his life and faith.

Family was the center of Juan’s world. He is survived by his children Samuel Cervantes Borjas, Juan Lara, Rebecca Cervantes Borjas, Sergio Borjas, Lourdes Borjas, Nicolas Borjas, Juan Borjas Jr., Javier Borjas, and Rogelio Borjas, as well as his siblings Maria Solis and Isabel B. Jackson. He leaves behind many beloved grandchildren, including Nydia Borjas, Abagail Borjas, Julian Martinez, Adrian Martinez, Johnathan Martinez, Amalia Cuevas, Jocelyn Lara, Anfernie Lara, Evan Lara, Amalia Lara, Natalie Lara, Alfredo Lara, Cynthia Lara, Samuel Lara, and Elizabeth Lara, along with numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members who were touched by his warmth and presence.

Juan was preceded in death by his son Alfredo Lara, his parents Nicolas and Isabel Borjas, his brother Gabino Borjas, his sisters Maria Tomasa Garcia and Teresa Ortiz, his nephews Tomas Garcia, Raymundo Ortiz, Rene Ortiz, and Victor Mendoza, and his niece Alicia Garcia. He will be remembered for his devotion to family, his gentle spirit, his steadfast faith, and the lasting memories he created with all who knew and loved him.
