Joyce Ruth Heikkinen, age 72, of Carleton, Michigan, passed away peacefully at her residence on March 9, 2026. She was born on March 15, 1953, in Fort Knox, Kentucky, to Joe and Pearl (Broyles) Meadors.
Joyce found contentment in the quiet comforts of home, where she enjoyed playing slot games on her computer. She cherished her dogs and cat, who were constant sources of companionship and joy. An avid camper, she created many happy memories on trips with her nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Edwin Heikkinen; her son, Ernie McClellan; and her parents.
Joyce is survived by her siblings, Sherry (John) Desser, Joan Gorak, Jennifer Clendenin, and James Meadors, along with several nieces and nephews.
