Joyce Roddy

Joyce Anne Roddy, age 91, passed away on March 7, 2026 after a lengthy illness. She embraced life with warmth and enthusiasm, cherishing her children above all. Joyce loved to sing and dance, and she shared her voice for many years in the choir. In her later years she discovered the peace of fishing, tended pet birds, and took great pride in her beautiful yard. Her home was a welcoming place where everyone was invited to her table, and she had a gift for drawing people into her extended family. She especially delighted in black and silver, the more sparkle the better.

Predeceased by her sons Robert J. Roberts III and Timothy Roberts, and her daughter Virginia Ann Ledlow, Joyce is survived by her children Barbara Beckenthal, Mary June Dozard, and Ed Roberts; grandchildren David Roberts, Brenda Johnson, Carrie Amos, Brian Dodson, Steven Beckenthal, Brad Roberts, Jim Roberts, Joel Roberts, Jeremy Ledlow, Melissa Roberts, Jennifer Wilaby, Sallie Basham, Michael Dodson, Russell Smith, and Natasha Smith; brothers Bobby Thomas and Mike Thomas; sister Pat Noll; and many beloved nieces, step-children, step-grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

A true family matriarch, Joyce will be fondly remembered and deeply missed by all whose lives she touched.
