Joyce Zimmerman ObituaryObituary published on Legacy.com by Wright & Salmon Mortuary - Peoria on Mar. 3, 2026.Joyce Patricia Zimmerman, age 82, of Peoria, passed away Monday, March 2, 2026 at Arcadia Care of Morton.Joyce was born November 7, 1943, a daughter to Robert and Edith (Thompson) Zimmerman. Joyce embodied her catholic faith and was a member of St. Thomas Catholic Church. She graduated from Woodruff High School. Joyce spent many years as a beautician and went back to school later and became an occupational therapist assistant until she retired. She made many valued friends along the way.Joyce made many fond memories with her family over the years. From going to Cornstock Theatre, fishing, taking trips, diet Faygo, endless spearmint gum and eating fried chicken at the Penguin. Joyce was an amazing daughter, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend to many, who will be deeply missed.Survivors include her sister Judith Winkler of Hendersonville, TN, and many cousins nieces and nephews scattered about.Joyce was preceded in death by mother Edith Thompson and one sister Jennifer Lambert.Cremation rites have been accorded. Visitation will take place at St. Thomas Catholic Church on Saturday, March 14, 2026 from 9:00 am until time of memorial mass ofChristian Burial at 10:00 AM. Father Fr.
