Joyce Kay Huett

Joyce Kay Huett, age 79, of Fort Lupton, Colorado, passed away peacefully at her home on March 6, 2026. Born on October 5, 1946, in Gettysburg, South Dakota, Joyce built a life centered around family, creativity, and a quiet dedication to everything she undertook.

For more than 30 years, she worked as a manager for the phone company, where her strong work ethic and natural leadership earned the respect of those around her. After retiring, she devoted herself fully to the artistic pursuits that brought her deep satisfaction. An exceptionally talented china painter, her work was published in a magazine. She was also an accomplished quilter, seamstress, artist, and crocheter, as well as a gifted cook and baker. Whether painting, sewing, or preparing a meal, Joyce approached every creation with care, patience, and a pursuit of perfection. She found additional joy in gardening, spending many hours tending flowers that mirrored the beauty and attention she brought to all aspects of her life.

Above all, Joyce was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She cherished time with her family and especially loved traveling with her husband, Richard. Together they created many lasting memories, particularly during their visits to Mexico, one of their favorite destinations.

She is survived by her loving husband, Richard Allen Huett; her daughter, Denise; her son-in-law, Hans; and her cherished granddaughter, Kaylee. She is also survived by her sister, Dianne, and many nieces and nephews who will remember her with love. Joyce will be remembered for the beautiful things she created and, even more, for the love, warmth, and care she so generously shared. Her family will forever treasure the memories they made with her and the pieces of her heart she left behind in every painted piece, every quilt, every garden flower, and every moment spent together.
