Joyce Henry Sutherland

Joyce Henry Sutherland of Front Royal, Virginia, passed away on March 12, 2026. She was a beloved wife, sister, stepmother, and grandmother whose quiet strength and warm presence left a lasting impression on all who knew her.

Predeceased by her parents, James “Aubrey” Henry and Beulah Carter Henry, her husband Ronald E. Sutherland, her brother Edward Henry, and her siblings-in-law Barbara Henry, Gratton Sealock, and Lynn Rudacille, Joyce is remembered for the steady love she gave to her family.

She is survived by her stepdaughters, Diane S. Bass and her husband Gary of Colonial Beach, and Karen Sutherland of Sperryville, Virginia; her sisters, Dorothy Sealock of Linden and Janet Rudacille of Front Royal; and her grandchildren, Zach Haun of Vienna, Lindsey Haun, and Sydney. She also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews who will carry forward the memory of her gentle spirit and devotion to those she loved.
