Joyce Gallagher

Joyce Jenny Gallagher, aged 79, of Matthews, North Carolina, passed away on March 6, 2026. Born on February 8, 1947, in Lawrence, Massachusetts, she was the daughter of Lionel Luigi Caron and Jenny S. Munson, both of Massachusetts.

Joyce began her working life as a secretary before discovering her true calling in the airline industry. Hired by Allegheny Airlines, she embraced a career that spanned 52 years of continuous service. She traveled the world, met countless people, and approached every journey with genuine enthusiasm. Known for her warm and authentic smile, Joyce had a natural gift for making others feel welcome. She was happiest when connecting with new faces and lived her life with quiet joy and openness.

She is survived by her husband, Gerry Gallagher, who was born in Canterbury, England, and by her two stepchildren, Jacob Gallagher and Jemma Coleman.

She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
