Joyce E. Shaffer

With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Joyce E. Shaffer of Alger, Michigan, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on March 8, 2026 at the age of 83. Though Joyce may no longer walk beside us, her legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Virgil Stone and Mary Stone; her children, Sherry and Edward; and her brother Wendell Stone (Jeanette).

She is survived by: her husband Clarence; her son Randy (Deb); her grandchildren, Sarah Crawford (Steve) and Steve Shaffer (Lindsey); her brother Glen Stone (Karen); and her pet Rusty. She is also survived by seven great grandchildren.

A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, April 19th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the The Family Barn (2960 Eckles Rd, Goodells, MI 48027).
