Joyce Blanche Edgley, 91, of Alpena, passed away on March 12, 2026, at her daughter’s home, surrounded by loved ones.
Born Joyce Blanche Muszynski on July 28, 1934, in Alpena, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Ruth (Morley) Muszynski. In 1953, she married Donald Edgley, and together they owned and operated The Stockade Party Store. Don passed away in 2019.
Joyce took great pride in caring for her home and family. She was a skilled seamstress and homemaker, known especially for her meticulous ironing. She found joy in making crafts, knitting dishcloths, working on word searches, reading, and playing cards and board games. Above all, she treasured the time spent with her family.
She is survived by her children, Jerry (Julie) Edgley and Cheryl (Gary) Edgley-Gray; six grandchildren, Renee (Jeff Ligney) Morrow, Melissa (Tigran) Morrow Melkumov, Matthew (Lauren) Edgley, Kaitlyn (Logan) Edgley Hatfield, Jeska Edgley Peak, and Ari (Jay) Edgley; twelve great-grandchildren; her sister, Esther Kadrich; sisters-in-law Mary Muszynski and Mary-Kay (Sam) Chalton; son-in-law John Morrow; daughter-in-law Wanda Boyd; and many nieces and nephews, including special nieces Cys and MaryAnn.
Joyce was preceded in death by her son, Donald Edgley Jr., grandson Alic Edgley, brother Charles Muszynski, and sisters Alice Kolarov and Mary Lou Helinski.
