Joyce Ann White

Joyce Ann White, born in Washington, D.C. to John Alfred Green and Mary Catherine Simpson, passed away on March 8, 2026. A devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, she carried the vibrant spirit of her hometown with her throughout her life. For many years she made the daily commute from her beloved Starbucks venti strawberry Frappuccino to her long-time position at Alexandrines Law Firm in Annapolis, where she was a familiar and dedicated presence. Yet it was her family that remained the true center of her world and the source of her greatest joy.

She is survived by her six children, Robert (Jeana), William (Linda), Catherine, Diane (Brian), and Matthew (Lynda); ten grandchildren; and twenty great-grandchildren. Joyce was preceded in death by her husband Henry, her son Byron, and her six siblings, Natalie, John, Joseph, Jeanie, Joan, and June.

She will be remembered for her steadfast work ethic, her deep affection for her hometown, and her unwavering devotion to her large and lively family.
