Joyce Ann Thomas

Joyce Ann Thomas, 74, of Concord, passed away Thursday, March 5, 2026 at Atrium Health Cabarrus Hospital in Concord.

Joyce was born May 26, 1951 in Durham, North Carolina to the late James Edgar Holder and the late Emma Louise Holder.

She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Tonia Annette Ross and son, Christopher James Thomas.

The family will receive friends from 3:30pm-5:00pm on Friday, March 20, 2026 at Community Church of Mt. Pleasant located at 400 N. Main St., Mt. Pleasant, North Carolina 28124. The memorial service will follow at 5:00pm at the church officiated by Pastor David Snow and Associate Pastor Josh Fowler.

Survivors include daughter, Michelle (Chad) Coppedge, daughter, Heather (Dewayne) Thomas, and daughter, Kelly (Mike) Kim. Also surviving are her grandchildren: Emma Coppedge, Walker Coppedge, Max Coppedge, Kody (Leigh) Thomas, Blake (Kat) Thomas, Chase Thomas, Aydan Kim and Layla Kim. Joyce leaves behind 2 great-granchchildren, Oaklyn and Krew Thomas. She is also survived by her siblings, Doug Holder, Betty Lou Hicks, Vicki Lee, Terry Pendergrast and David Pendergrast and their families.
