Joyce Ann Carroll

Joyce Ann Carroll of Aberdeen, Maryland, passed away on March 11, 2026, at the age of 88. She left behind a loving family and many whose lives she touched with her warmth and devotion.

Predeceased by her husband, John F. “Johnny” Carroll, and her parents, Ira C. Shepherd and Eloise K. Marlow, Joyce is survived by her children, Wayne Carroll (Malena) of Havre de Grace and Amy Carroll May (Scott) of Conowingo; her grandchildren, Stephen Carroll of Portland, Oregon, Sara Evans (Michael), Joseph Carroll of Havre de Grace, Lydia May, Joshua May of Conowingo, and Angelina Taylor (Robert, III); and her great-grandchildren, Emily and Tyler of Elkton, Robert IV, Alexander of Browns Mills, New Jersey, and Devon Waters of Chesapeake City. She is also survived by her sisters, Judith Tibbs (Bob) of Level and Susan McIlvaine (Jim) of West Chester, Pennsylvania, her sister-in-law Mary Carroll of Havre de Grace, and many beloved nieces and nephews.

Throughout her life, Joyce remained a steadfast presence for her family, offering quiet strength, kindness, and unwavering love to those closest to her. Her memory will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
