Joyce Ann Allen

Joyce Ann Allen, 89, passed away on March 11, 2026. Born on November 22, 1936, to LD and Edith Vaughn, she grew up in Lubbock, Texas, and graduated from Lubbock High School.

She married Jerry Williamson, Sr., with whom she raised three sons before his passing in 1976. Joyce devoted ten years of her career to the American Quarter Horse Association. In 1986 she married LC (Jack) Allen, who preceded her in death in 2018.

A longtime member of Arden Road Baptist Church, Joyce lived a life grounded in faith. She was known for her kindness and warmth, and her grandchildren remembered her as a pinnacle of kindness. In her free time she enjoyed sewing, reading English mysteries, and listening to gospel hymns. Her beloved basset hound Beva was a constant and cherished companion.

Joyce is lovingly remembered by her sons Gary and Michele Williamson of Temple, Texas; Jerry Williamson Jr. of Amarillo, Texas; Larry Williamson of Amarillo, Texas; Bill and Poyon Allen of Temecula, California; Larry and Pokye Allen of Madison, Alabama; as well as four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
