Joyce A. Handwerk, 87, of Allentown, passed away on March 12, 2026, at St. Luke’s Hospice House in Lower Saucon Township. She was the wife of the late Charles J. Handwerk, Jr., who died in 2024.
Born in Longswamp Township, Berks County, Joyce was the daughter of the late Jonathan and Minerva Mae (Boyer) Reinert. She worked in assembly at Rodale Manufacturing for 20 years before retiring. Above all, she found deep fulfillment in caring for her family and lovingly babysitting her grandchildren.
She is survived by her son, Keith L. Braim and his wife Pamela of Salisbury Township; her daughter, Rosaline F. Reinert of Allentown; her sister, Grace Bales; her brother, James Reinert; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
