Joshua Lafe Simonds, age 49, of Englewood, Tennessee, passed away peacefully after a short illness on February 28, 2026.
A graduate of McMinn Central High School, Josh found his lifelong passion for basketball while playing for the Central team. He was a man who was deeply loved by those who knew him and will be profoundly missed.
He is survived by his brother and sister-in-law, Eric and Fiona Simonds, along with many cousins, aunts, uncles, and friends. Josh was preceded in death by his parents, Marion and Brenda Simonds.
His family will remember and celebrate his life at a private gathering. In keeping with his wishes, memorial contributions may be made to the Welcome Home of Chattanooga.
