Josephine Abdo, loving wife of the late Victor Abdo, passed away on March 2, 2026.
Beloved mother of Mary (Greg) Winokur, Barb, Debbie (Brian) McAndrew, Suzan, Carrie (Dan) Pilot and Robert (Amy). Loving grandmother to Marty (Crystal) Gorton II, Jaclyn (Riaz) Sheriff, Sam (Jackie) Gorton, Zack (Kailyn), Ben (Cady) and Ethan (Danielle); her great-grandchildren, Griffin and Presley Gorton, Zaire and Zayn Sheriff, Landon, Parker, Olivia and Emma Gorton.
Dear sister of Evelyn (late Donald) Parshall, Bob (Mark) Said, Frances Guiterrez, and sister-in-law Joyce Said.
She was preceded in death by her parents Joseph and Rita Said, her son-in-law Joseph Mnich, her brothers Joseph (late Rosemary) Said and Fred Said Sr., and her sisters Mary (late Richard) Marsh and Carmen (late Gene) Urbanczyk.
She also leaves behind many loving nieces and nephews, as well as many loved ones in Malta.
“Josie” was devoted to her family and friends. Nothing brought her more joy than being with the people she loved. She created a home filled with warmth, love and laughter.
She will be greatly missed by everyone who knew and loved her.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Vincent de Paul.
Memorial Visitation, Tuesday, April 07, 2026 from 2-8pm with a 7pm Scripture Service at the John N. Santeiu & Son, Inc., 1139 N. Inkster Road, Garden City (between Ford Road and Cherry Hill). In state Wednesday, Aptil 08, 2026 10:30am until the 11am Memorial Service at St. Richard Catholic Church, 35851 Cherry Hill Road, Westland (between Wayne Road and Newburgh Road).
