Joseph Pye

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Joseph Pye (Summerville, South Carolina), who passed away on March 6, 2026 at the age of 78. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, John Pye and Margaret Pye. He is survived by: his wife Patsy Pye; his son Patrick Pye (Tammy); his siblings, Rodney Pye (Janice), Debra Taylor (Pete) and Lisa Quick (Clyde); and his siblings' children, Janet Dangerfield (James), Rhonda Keenan (Jeff) and James Taylor (Nicole). He is also survived by five great nieces; and two great nephews.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, March 15th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:30 PM at the Summerville Baptist Church (417 Central Ave, Summerville, SC 29483). A funeral service will be held on Sunday, March 15th 2026 at 2:30 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Sunday, March 15th 2026 at the Carolina Memorial Gardens (7113 Rivers Ave, North Charleston, SC 29406).

In lieu of flowers or gifts, donations may be made to Summerville Baptist Church or the Joseph R. Pye Legacy Scholarship in his memory. Scholarship contributions may be made online.
