Bozic, 90, of Oakdale, North Fayette Township, formerly of Midway, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on, Friday, March 13, 2026 at St. Clair Hospital.Joe was born on September 6, 1935 in Robinson Township, a son of the late Joseph and Elizabeth Lauff Bozic.He graduated from Midway High School in 1953. In 1954 he joined the U.S. Army and served in the 11th Airborne Division until November of 1956. In 1958 he married Patricia "Patty" Hampson. Joe worked for Montour Railroad for 25 years and belonged to the local union. Joe also worked as an inspector for the railroad. After leaving the railroad he worked for Shenango Steel Co. as a millwright, until 1990 when they closed. He belonged to U.S. Steelworkers Local 2258. After leaving the steel mill, he started his own grass business, J.B. Lawn Care. He operated this until the age of 79. As you can see, Joe had an amazing work ethic that carried him all through life.Besides his wife Patty, he leaves two daughters to cherish his memory, Pamela (Robert) Dankovchik and Dawn (Mark) Christy, grandchildren, Lauren Dankovchik, and Cole and Ava Christy, great grandchildren, Olivia Shetler and Michael Berkley, a special sister, Janet Bozic, brother, Harold Bozic, and sister-in-law, Linda Bozic.Along with his parents, Joe is preceded in death by his grandson, Kristopher Dankovchik, and brothers, Kenneth Bozic and Robert "Bojack" Bozic.Joe loved going to his camp on French Creek, Cambridge Springs, PA. There he and his family and friends spent many of years duck hunting, fishing and sitting around a campfire telling stories and drinking ice cold beer.He also enjoyed harness racing at the Meadows and going with his wife Patty to the casino. Joe also had a love for old war movies or anything to do with history. He loved to travel with Patty. Of all the places visited he loved Presque Isle, Lake Erie the most. Joe and Patty spent a lot of summers riding bikes, fishing and relaxing on the beach. Most of all he loved watching his grandchildren participate in sports. He was also an avid fan of Sunday Football.If there is one thing to take away from Joe's life it is how much he loved his family. They were his entire world. Being a husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and brother, was what he lived for. His infectious smile and love he shared with so many will forever be missed.Friends and family will be received on Monday, March 16, 2026 from 3-7 p.m. at Thomas-Little Funeral Service, Inc., 314 W. Lincoln Ave., McDonald (724-926-2800). A Service will be held on Tuesday, March 17, 2026 at 10 a.m. in the funeral home, with full Military Honors.
