Joseph Mione

Joseph Mione, 64, passed away peacefully on March 8, 2026, in Manahawkin, New Jersey, surrounded by his loving family.

Born on June 14, 1961, in Castellammare del Golfo, Sicily, Joseph was the son of Giovanni and Anna Mione and one of the youngest of five siblings. He later settled in New Jersey, where he built a life centered on family, hard work, and lasting friendships.

Joseph worked in heavy construction and excavation and was a proud member of Local 731. He enjoyed racquetball, skiing, baseball, and most of all spending time with his grandchildren.

He was predeceased by his parents, Giovanni and Anna Mione; his sister, Giuseppina Padovano; and his mother-in-law, Elizabeth Geraci. Joseph is survived by his beloved wife of 39 years, Grace Mione; his daughter, Lauren Guerriera, and her husband Peter; his son, John Joseph Mione, and his wife Emily; and his cherished grandchildren, Luca and Lorenzo. He will be remembered for his strong work ethic, kindness, and deep love for his family.
