Scotto, 67, formerly of Ansonia, passed away peacefully on March 15, 2026, surrounded by his loving family, after a brief but brave battle with cancer.Born in Brooklyn, New York, on March 4, 1959, he was the son of the late Anthony and Josephine (Alessi) Scotto. Still to this day, you could find an umpire clicker in his truck-a small but fitting symbol of his love for the game.Sundays were meant for family dinners filled with good food and wine. In the warmer months, he could often be found tending to his garden, carefully growing tomatoes and proudly jarring his homemade tomato sauce to share with family and friends. The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to the doctors, nurses, and caregivers who provided compassionate care during his illness. The visiting hours will be held at The Havens Family North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue on Thursday, March 26, 2026, from 4:00-7:00 pm.
