It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Joseph M. Occhipinti (Rome, New York), who passed away on March 6, 2026, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Occhipinti Sr. and Mary Occhipinti (Gratch); his brother John "Dick" Occhipinti; and his brother-in-law William Tuttle. He is survived by: his wife Paulette Tonni; his sons, Joseph Occhipinti III and Jason Occhipinti; his daughter-in-law Elizabeth Occhipinti (Doeing); his granddaughter Angelina Occhipinti; his sister Christine Betrus (Occhipinti); and his siblings-in-law, Michelle Sojda, Virginia Tuttle and Lawrence Sojda. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 14th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the St. John the Baptist Church (210 E Dominick St, Rome, NY 13440).

In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent in Joseph's name to the Rome Lions Club, Jervis Public Library, or St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
