Joseph Karl Sasse

Joseph Karl Sasse, 57, of Sanford, passed away at his home on March 12, 2026. He was born on February 2, 1969, in Midland, the son of James C. and Reta J. (McClain) Sasse. Joe spent most of his life in the Midland area, where he graduated from high school and later earned his HVAC certification from Saginaw Valley State University. Over the years he worked a variety of jobs, finding his longest tenure in construction and airport maintenance, work that allowed him to travel and see new places.

As a boy Joe enjoyed fishing, but motorsports became his lifelong passion. He loved snowmobiling, yet nothing compared to the thrill of riding motorcycles, which brought him some of his greatest joy.

Joe is survived by his children, Kenady Sasse and Karsyn Sasse; his siblings, Gary (Cyndy) Sasse, Mark Sasse, Dawn (Carl) Klawitter, and David Sasse; and many nieces, nephews, and extended family members. In keeping with his wishes, cremation has taken place and no services are scheduled.
