Joseph Jarrard

Joseph Jarrard, 52, of North Augusta, South Carolina, entered into rest on March 7, 2026. A native of Columbia County, he graduated from Harlem High School in 1992 and had made North Augusta his home for the past twenty years. For eighteen years, Joe worked as a manager at Comcast.

He adored his wife, Melissa Dale, and fiercely loved his sons. Joe embodied strength, joy, and what it means to live life to the fullest. His life was a victory marked by adventure, laughter, and the example he set for those around him to be strong, positive, and fully alive. He especially cherished his many outings on the river, where he found peace and spent treasured time with the people he loved most. An avid Georgia fan, he cheered his team with unwavering loyalty, and music remained a constant rhythm that filled his soul. Above all, Joe loved without hesitation and left a lasting mark on everyone who knew him.

He was preceded in death by his son, Chad Hargrove; his mother, Paula Faye Young; and two brothers, Ricky Courtney and Christopher Jarrard.

Survivors include his wife of twenty-five years, Melissa Jarrard; two sons, Noah (Maggie) Jarrard and Elijah (Hannah) Jarrard; a granddaughter, Josie Jarrard; his parents, Chester and Mary Jarrard; a sister, Sara Byce; and several nieces and nephews.
