Joseph Henry Herrman

Joseph Henry Herrman, 88, of Utica, Kansas, passed away on March 10, 2026, at Rhode Island Suites in Ransom, Kansas. Born on May 26, 1937, in Utica, he was the son of Albert and Isabel (Lafort) Herrman. Joe spent his life as a farmer and soil conservationist, work that reflected his deep care for the land and community. He was a longtime member of the Ransom VFW Post No. 7972.

On June 23, 1963, Joe married Della Evel in Utica, Kansas, beginning a partnership that spanned more than six decades. He is survived by his wife, Della Herrman of Utica; his son, Timothy Herrman of Ellis; and his brother, Robert Herrman of Utica. He was preceded in death by his parents, his son Steven, three sisters, and three brothers.

Joe’s quiet dedication to his family, his farm, and his country left a lasting impression on those who knew him. He will be remembered with deep affection by those he leaves behind.
