Joseph Harold Davis, 82, of Meridian, MS, passed away peacefully on March 12, 2026.
Born August 31, 1943, in Mobile, AL to Elizabeth Ivey Davis and Jessie Eric Davis, Harold spent his formative years in Meridian, MS and was a 1961 graduate of Clarkdale High School. He served in the Mississippi Air National Guard, the U.S. Air Force, and retired from the Federal Government as a Civil Service electrician at the Naval Air Station in Jacksonville, FL.
Growing up in Tuxedo and Southside, Harold was an excellent baseball player and as an adult he loved most sports. His favorite teams were the Ole Miss Rebels, the New Orleans Saints, and the Atlanta Braves. Harold also loved to work in his yard and flower garden.
Harold is survived by three children, Sherry Thayer, of Houston, TX, Michael House (Denise), of Clinton, MS, and LeeAnn Monroe (Steven), of Jacksonville, FL. He is also survived by his twin brother, Lamar Davis (Anita), and two sisters, Becky Coborn and Darlene Crane (Danny); as well as numerous extended family members and friends.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Frankie Davis, granddaughter, Amber Nichole Vitale; father, Jessie Eric Davis; and his mother, Mary Elizabeth Davis.
Per his wishes, a private memorial service will be held at a later date. Robert Barham Family Funeral Home is honored to be entrusted with the arrangements.
