He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Drebes and Ellen "Lillian" Drebes; his grandson Ian Drebes; and his siblings, William Drebes, Henrietta Foster and Lillian Errickson.

He is survived by: his wife Florence Drebes; his sons, Joseph Jr. (Jody), Robert Drebes (Helen) and Jeff (Kelley); his grandchildren, Fletcher Drebes and Nicole Stallard; his great grandchildren, Aiden, Brody and Chloe; and his siblings, Mary Alcorn and John Drebes.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday, March 14th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the St. Vincent Pallotti Roman Catholic Church (901 Hopkins Rd, Haddonfield, NJ 08033). A burial will be held on Saturday, March 14th 2026 from 1:30 PM to 2:00 PM at the New Saint Mary's Cemetery (515 W Browning Rd, Bellmawr, NJ 08031).
