Joseph David Laughter

Joseph David Laughter, 64, of Hendersonville, North Carolina, passed away on Saturday morning, March 7, at Margaret Pardee Hospital.

Born on February 13, 1962, to William O. and Addie Hollingsworth Laughter, David grew up in Hendersonville and graduated from East Henderson High School. He went on to open his own auto repair shop, where his remarkable mechanical talent found its home. If something had a motor, David could fix it. He took genuine pleasure in taking things apart, understanding how they worked, and putting them back together again.

Cars were his lifelong passion. He loved working on them and competing in auto racing, particularly drag racing. Beyond his work, David cherished his family, his dogs, and his horses, finding deep joy in their company.

He is survived by his parents, William and Addie Laughter; his sister, Vicki Laughter Connor; his brother, William Eric Laughter; and his nieces and nephews, Justin Quinn Laughter and wife Kasie, Shelby Lynn Laughter, Joshua Abram Connor, Briar Laughter, Abigail Dunn, and Lakelyn Laughter.
