Joseph Critchley

Joseph Critchley of Layland, West Virginia, passed away on March 16, 2026 at the age of 81.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Richard Alfred Critchley and Mary Elizabeth Carter Critchley; his wife, Patty Critchley; and his grandchildren, Joshua Critchley, Matthew Legg, Rylan Critchley, and Alexander Cox.

He is survived by his children, Tina Rhodes and her husband Gary of Oak Hill, Joe Critchley and his wife Diane of Layland, Rick Critchley and his wife Shannon of Maplewood, Lee Critchley and his wife Stephanie of Maplewood, Danny Critchley and his wife Lisa of Maplewood, and Johnny Critchley and his wife Judith of Danese; his siblings, Dorothy “Sis” Sheaves of Brexville, Betty Seldomridge of Alderson, Delbert Critchley and his wife Doris of Danese, and Jack Critchley of Bedford, Ohio; and his siblings-in-law, Joyce Critchley of Ansted and Chuck Brandstetter and his wife Sonya of Atlanta, Georgia. He is also survived by 16 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren, as well as several nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
