Joseph Carroll ButlerJoseph Carroll Butler, 82, of Chesterfield, VA went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, March 3, 2026. He was born on January 7, 1944 in Richmond, Virginia to the late Joseph Bledsoe Butler and Louise Galyen Butler. He is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Pamela Marsha Butler.Joseph will be lovingly remembered by his son, Ross Edward Butler; grandchildren, Sierra Grace Butler, Chloe Estelle Butler, and Dylan Ross Butler; sister, Carolyn Butler Blythe and her husband, Phillip Wayne Blythe, Jr.; and extended family members.Joe lived his life fully through his simple pleasures in life. He loved to grow and tend to his garden, play pickleball, participate in poker night, and attend his bible study groups. Anyone who knew Joe always said how kind, fun, and lively he was. His memory will remain in the hearts of his family, friends, community, and all those who were honored to have had the privilege of knowing him.His family would like to thank all of the nurses, doctors, and staff at Chippenham Hospital, Bon Secours St. Francis Medical Center, Sheltering Arms Institute, Brandermill Woods the Haven, and Admired and Retired Personal Care Home.
