Joseph Brindisi

Joseph Brindisi, 83, of Tallahassee, Florida, passed away on March 7, 2026. Born on August 7, 1942, in Lodi, New Jersey, he was the son of Frank and Mary (Taormina) Brindisi.

Joe, as he preferred to be called, graduated from the University of Miami in 1965 with a Bachelor’s degree in Music. He began his career as a high school band director and teacher at Miami Edison Senior High School. He married his college sweetheart, Judith Eberley, and the couple settled in Bradenton, Florida. For more than 25 years, Joe built a successful career with GTE while raising a family and sharing 58 years of marriage with Judy. He found lifelong joy in grilling, cooking, and music.

He is survived by his wife, Judy (Eberley) Brindisi; sons Joseph Michael Brindisi (Antje) of Oviedo, Florida, and Michael Christopher Brindisi (Nicole) of Tallahassee, Florida; daughter Kathleen Marie Powers (Steven) of Tallahassee; three grandsons, Sergio Brindisi, Vincent Greif, and Alex Brindisi; one brother, Frank Brindisi (BJ) of Crossville, Tennessee; and many nieces and nephews.
