Joseph Antonio "Joe" Rosado Jr.

Joseph Antonio "Joe" Rosado Jr.

May 23, 1956 March 9, 2026

East Rockaway, NY

Joseph Antonio Rosado Jr., known to all as Joe, was born on May 23, 1956, in New York City and passed away on March 9, 2026, in East Rockaway, New York. He grew up in the city with his parents, Joseph and Mary (Torres) Rosado, and his brothers and sisters before settling in Arverne. Joe is survived by his wife Maria (Perez); his children Samantha (Jim Gallagher) and Jonathan; his grandchildren Colin and Lila; and his siblings Norma, Eunice, Samuel, and David. At the time of his passing he was comforted by his sister Eunice and his niece Ari.

From an early age Joe showed a deep fascination with mechanics and engineering. He earned a local reputation as a fearless daredevil, racing cars and motorcycles through the streets of his neighborhood. His daring spirit, while often resulting in loud crashes and the occasional explosion, also drew the attention of his future wife and endeared him to many friends. That same ingenuity and talent for building, repairing, and solving problems guided him into successful careers in the automotive transmission and construction industries. Beginning in the 1990s, he helped found and grow two thriving businesses specializing in architectural metal and glass. Clients returned to him again and again not only for his sharp mind but for his warmth and genuine care.

Joe’s steadfast dedication defined every part of his life. He supported his family without hesitation, poured his energy into researching the best fishing reels, refused to abandon a difficult household repair, and continually sought out new music and films in his quiet pursuit of beauty and meaning. Everything he worked for was for those he loved, and he faced every challenge with courage and resolve. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
