He was predeceased by: his wife Laura Giametta; his parents, Charles and Theresa DeCarlo; his stepmother Josephine Chiniche; his siblings, Camella Cates, Charles Giametta and Ambrose James Giametta; and his nephew Christopher T. Giametta.

He is survived by: his sister Lucille Parker (Leo); and his children, Curtis A. "Tony" Giametta (Janet), Joseph A. Giametta, Jr. (Susan) and Theresa Giametta Tolson (Mike). He is also survived by 14 grandchildren; many, many great grandchildren and one great, great granddaughter.

Visitation will be held on Friday, March 13th 2026 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM and on Friday, March 27th 2026 at 10:30 AM. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, March 27th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church (10446 Lemoyne Blvd, D'Iberville, MS 39540).

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his name and honor to Sacred Heart Catholic Church St. Vincent de Paul Society.
