He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Pauline D'Aniello Panicali; his sons, Joseph A. Panicali Jr. of Guilford, Mark D. Panicali (Lori) of Beverly, MA, Robert P. Panicali (Louise) of Guilford and Richard R. Panicali; and his brother Alvin Panicali. He was also cherished by nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Monday, March 16th 2026 from 8:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the Porto Funeral Home (234 Foxon Rd, East Haven, CT 06513). A funeral service will be held on Monday, March 16th 2026 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
