Josefina Gomez ObituaryObituary published on Legacy.com by Tuttle Funeral Home on Mar. 17, 2026.Josefina Gomez, age 82, of Dover, New Jersey, passed away peacefully on March 17, 2026 surrounded by her loving family after a valiant battle with Colon Cancer.Josefina was born on July 24th 1943 to Pauliño Gomez Ruiz and Perfecta Engracia María Higuera Canizo in Mirones, Spain. She met Jose Gomez in 1974 at her job at Warner Lambert in New Jersey. They were then married in Mirones, Spain on July 24, 1980 and shortly after moved together to Mexico City, Mexico. They later made the move to the United States after having had their one and only son. Josefina loved creating delicious desserts for her family and also knitting in her free time.Josefina was predeceased by her parents, Pauliño Gomez Ruiz and Perfecta Engracia María Higuera Canizo. Josefina is survived by her loving spouse, Jose Gomez, their son, Matthew Gomez, their grandson, Sebastian Gomez, her brothers Luis Gomez and Alfredo Gomez, her sister Isabel Gomez, her nephews, Luis Gomez, Ricardo Gomez, Alfredo Gomez, and Paulino Gomez, and her nieces Isabel Gomez, Sara Gomez, Maria Del Carmen Gomez, and Angelica Gomez.A Visitation will be held at Tuttle Funeral Home, Randolph (Tuttlefh.com) on Friday, March 20, 2026 from 3:00PM – 5:30PM followed by a Funeral Service.
