In the vast expanse of eternity, Josefina shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Josefina farewell, her loved ones carry with them the precious gift of her memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Jose Flores and Tiburcia Castro; and her siblings, Antonia, Juan and Jose Flores Jr..

She is survived by: her husband Juan Maldonado; her children, Maria Garza, Sheila Kirkconnell and Ramon Cuellar; and her brother Guadalupe Flores (Desiree). She is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 10th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 8:00 PM. A rosary will be held on Tuesday, March 10th 2026 at 6:00 PM at the Sunset Memorial Funeral Home (657 Springmart Blvd, Brownsville, TX 78526).
