Jose Diaz ObituaryObituary published on Legacy.com by Woyasz & Son Funeral Service - Norwich on Mar. 9, 2026.Jose Ramon Diaz ("Ramoncito")Jose Ramon Diaz Jr, lovingly known as Ramoncito, passed away surrounded by love and family. Born in Ponce, Puerto Rico, he spent most of his life in Willimantic and Norwich, Connecticut, where he became known by many for his big personality and even bigger heart.Ramon was truly the life of every party. If there was music playing, especially salsa or merengue, you knew he was nearby. His laughter filled rooms and his jokes kept everyone smiling. He had a way of bringing people together and making strangers feel like family. He loved being near the water and found peace in fishing. Some of our best memories were the times he spent taking us along, teaching us, laughing with us, and just enjoying the moment together. Those days meant everything to him, and they will always mean everything to us.He was also our favorite mechanic if something was broken, Dad could fix it. And if he couldn't fix it right away, he would still find a way to help. He was the type of man who would give the shirt off his back to anyone in need, never asking for anything in return. He is survived by his children: Keisha, Ashley, Brianna, and Jose "JR."His grandchildren: Jaylianys, Jayden, Julius, Jayla, and Prince. And his devoted life partner, Deanna.More than anything, Ramon will be remembered for his love for his family, for music, for laughter, and for living life fully in every moment. Though our hearts are broken, we find comfort knowing his spirit lives on in the memories he gave us and the joy he brought into our lives. He will forever be missed and never forgotten.Calling hours will be held on Sunday, March 15th, from 1-3 pm at the Woyasz & Son Funeral Home, 141 Central Ave, Norwich. To plant trees in memory, please visit the Sympathy Store.
