It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jose Esquivel (Ionia, Michigan), born in Fennville, Michigan, who passed away on March 7, 2026, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Trinidad Esquivel and Faustina Esquivel. He is survived by: his wife Cindy Esquivel; his children, Everett Esquivel, Carmen Esquivel, Chasity Butler (Abram), Jose Esquivel (Melissa) and Trinity Esquivel (Sarah); his grandchildren, Abigail, Bradley, Eric, Harley (Zaine), Peyton, Jose, Tayvn, Emma, Aliyah, Rajalyaj and Azalea; and his siblings, Susie Gallegos of San Antonio, Texas, Consuelo Gonzalez (Frank) of Fennville, Michigan, Miguel Esquivel (Gracie) of Holland, Michigan and Julianna Jasso (Jose) of Edinburg, Texas.. He is also survived by 11 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Friday, March 13th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Lake Funeral Homes Inc. - Ionia (3521 S State Rd, Ionia, MI 48846). A funeral service will be held on Friday, March 13th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
