Jose Sanchez was born in El Salitre de Maurata, Michoacán, Mexico, to parents Patricio Alvarez and Siria Sanchez. At the age of 24, he immigrated to the United States and made his home in Chicago, where he lived for the next 55 years. He worked as a bus driver for the Chicago Transit Authority while also managing his own grocery businesses and later entering real estate. He was a devoted son, brother, husband, father, and loyal friend.
He is survived by his wife, Alma Rosa Alvarez; his children, Josie, Sandra, Lizette, Jose Luis, Jose Osvaldo, Aaron, Juana, Analilia, and Elizabeth; his sons-in-law; 18 grandchildren; and 3 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his siblings, Miguel, Margarita, Salvador, Genoveva, Adalberto, Marbella, Jacinto, Ramon, and Santiago Alvarez Sanchez.
In 1994, Jose came to know the people of Jehovah and served faithfully until his final days.
