Jorge Martinez Ortiz

Jorge Martinez Ortiz passed away on Tuesday, March 10, 2026, at the age of 76. He was born on February 8, 1950, in San Bernardo, Michoacan, Mexico, to Esteban Martinez and Elodia (Ortiz) Martinez.

Preceded in death by his parents, Esteban and Elodia Martinez, and his brothers, Polo Martinez, Angel Martinez, and Consuelo Martinez, Jorge is survived by his loving wife, Melba Martinez; his son, Daniel Ybarra; his daughter, Laura Martinez Thompson; his grandchildren, Jenna Ybarra, Lauren Ybarra, Ryan Ybarra, Thalia Sassman, Victoria Thompson, Emma Thompson, and Arabella Thompson; his sister, Ana Martinez; and his brother-in-law, Jose G. Rios.

He will be remembered as a loving husband, father, and grandfather. A hardworking man who took great joy in serving his community, Jorge’s memory will forever remain in the hearts of those who loved him.
