Jorgan John McGuigan

Jorgan John McGuigan was born on March 6 at 9:41 p.m., a healthy 9 pounds, 2 ounces, after 39 weeks of pregnancy. He spent his brief time on earth in the arms of his loving parents, Britta and Dan, surrounded by family and close friends before passing shortly after birth. Named after Britta’s great-grandfather, the Norwegian name Jorgan means “strong,” while his middle name John, Dan’s own middle name, means “God is gracious.” He carried his parents’ strawberry blonde hair and had the sweetest chubby cheeks.

Though his time with them was far too short, Jorgan’s soft hands and gentle presence reminded his family of God’s love and nearness in their sorrow. Britta and Dan had long dreamed of welcoming him into their home, imagining taking him to his first Phillies game and swimming together in Lake Spofford. Their journey to meet him had been a long one, making this goodbye especially painful.

Jorgan is survived by his devoted parents, Britta and Dan McGuigan. They miss him deeply yet find comfort in the hope of being reunited with him one day in heaven. They remain grateful for the love, prayers, and support that have surrounded them in their grief.
