Jon Nelson

Jon Nelson, age 71, of Roseville, Minnesota, passed away surrounded by the love of his family.

Born and raised in New Brighton, Jon graduated from Mounds View High School. He spent his working years as a painter at North Star Auto Body and Roseville Auto Body, and later as a maintenance man. As a boy, he cherished time spent at his grandfather’s farm in Milltown, where he kept his own pony. In his younger days, he took great joy in his blue Firebird and his Triumph motorcycle.

Jon was a devoted animal lover who looked forward to ice fishing on Mille Lacs Lake. He was known for his willingness to lend a hand to others. Above all, his greatest pride and joy were his grandchildren, whom he loved deeply.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Duane and Corinne Nelson. Jon is survived by his daughter, Alicia Krieger (Bill); his grandchildren, Toby, Lydia, Annah (Paul), and Jenna (Nate); and his siblings, Nancy Imbrone (Larry Wamstad), Scott Nelson (LeAnn), and Dan Nelson.
