Jon Lindsay Hale

Jon Lindsay Hale of Indianapolis, Indiana, died on March 11, 2026, at the age of 71.

He joins his parents, Rhea Jean Hale and John Clark Hale Jr., in heaven. He is survived by his daughter Lindsay Renee Leonard and her husband Chris, his son Jack Clark Hale and his wife Reece, his granddaughter Aslyn Renee Hale, and his loving life partner, Connie Lammars.

Jon graduated from Indiana University, where he majored in journalism. He wrote for the Indianapolis Star, contributing to the Herman Hoglebogle column, and later became a published author with his book “Indianapolis Nightlife.” He went on to work in the mortgage underwriting industry, owning and operating 1st Capital Mortgage in Indianapolis in the early 2000s, before retiring from Carrington Mortgage Services.

Known as everyone’s friend who never met a stranger, Jon was a jovial, kind, and witty presence in any gathering. His deep love for the word of God remained with him throughout his life. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
