He was deeply devoted to his family, finding his greatest joy in shared moments—celebrating holidays, cheering at baseball games for the Cubs or Yankees, attending Notre Dame football games, rooting for the Chicago Bears and Buffalo Bills, and hosting lively Derby parties. These gatherings were the heart of his world, filled with conversation, laughter, and the warmth of kinship.

He took special delight in movies, home entertainment, and music, often filling his home with the sounds and stories that brought him and his loved ones happiness. Above all, Jon cherished his role as a grandfather, a source of immense pride and daily happiness. He also celebrated his sobriety as a hard-won personal victory that reflected his strength and inspired those around him.

Jon is survived by his son, Chris Wickens and his wife Hannah; his sister, Wendy Sperling and her husband Donny; his brother, Brian Wickens; his niece, Amanda Sperling; his nephews, Jacob Sperling, Ocean Wickens, and Sean Wickens; and his granddaughter, Isabella Wickens. His beloved dog, Bella, remained a cherished part of the family. He is reunited with his parents, Jon and Ardis Wickens, and his grandson, Liam Wickens.
