Conrad, 65, of Bethlehem, devoted husband, father, musician, and human resources leader, passed away peacefully, Friday, February 27, 2026, surrounded by his loving family, after a courageous battle with interstitial lung disease related to Hodgkin's lymphoma.Jon faced his challenges as he lived his life - with realism, grace, and unwavering positivity. He leaves behind a legacy of love, inspiration, and more than 40 extraordinary years of service in Human Resources, including 23 years as Vice President of Human Resources at Moravian University. His iconic, balanced, and compassionate voice - always in support of employees and employers alike - will never be forgotten. Jon was a quiet, unassuming force, working faithfully behind the scenes to get the job done - and to get it done the right way.Music and community service were central to who Jon was. He served on the Board of the American Red Cross for more than 20 years; on the Board of Bethlehem 1st Federal Credit Union; as President of the Allentown Band for 19 years (as a proud member of the trombone section since 1988); and as a co-founder of the Silver & Brass Trombone Quartet, with whom he performed for 40 years. Jon also served on the Session at First Presbyterian Church of Bethlehem, spent many treasured seasons coaching Chris in baseball, basketball, and soccer during Chris's youth, and impacted countless young musicians through his private trombone studio.Jon was a proud graduate of William Allen High School, where he participated in the band, jazz band, and choir. He was equally proud of his degree from Moravian College, graduating in 1982 with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology.Jon's memory will forever be cherished by Suzanne J. Bleiler - Conrad, his best friend and life partner of 40 years; by Christian, a son of whom he was immensely proud; his brother, Dr. Michael Conrad, and his wife, Lois; his sisters, Susan and Julie; Bryan and Jennifer Hay (a brother and sister from other mothers); and his dearest friends, colleagues, and all who loved him. He was predeceased by his mother, Vivian Conrad (Moyer), and his father, John Conrad.Jon loved life.He loved his family. He loved his past and current cats: Mozart (Mo), Salieri (Sal), Adwoa (Adi), Lincoln, and Maizy. He loved his friends. He loved his profession and his service to others. His deepest wish was to bring joy into as many lives as possible.
