Fort Worth, TX

Joleen Ross Thompson, born September 24, 1933, left this world gracefully on March 16, 2026, leaving behind memories of love and kindness. Her life was a testament to the quiet strength found in tenderness, her presence a light in the lives of all who had the blessing to know her.

Joleen’s smile was a radiant, bright and warm, inviting and genuine. It spoke volumes of the joy and hope she carried within. She was a soul that embodied loving kindness in its purest form, embracing those around her with a huge heart.

A devoted gardener, Joleen found peace and inspiration in the tender care of blossoming flowers. Her garden was a sanctuary where life flourished under her diligent hands, and a living canvas where patience met beauty. The blooms she nurtured told stories of perseverance and renewal, much like the life she so gracefully led. Alongside her green thumb, Joleen delighted in cooking, always having Thanksgiving & Christmas dinners at her house transforming simple ingredients into meals seasoned with love, nourishing both body and spirit.

Joleen Thompson’s legacy is imprinted in the countless acts of kindness, the gentle words, and the embraces that warmed the coldest days. Though the physical form has departed, the essence of her spirit continues to bloom always in the hearts of those who carry her memory.

Her journey, marked by simplicity and profound affection, invites us all to pause and reflect on the beauty of a life lived with loving intention and the enduring power of a bright smile that could light even the darkest rooms. Joleen R. Thompson remains a cherished presence, infinitely loved and forever remembered.

Her departure from this world will be marked by two gatherings held at The Greenway Church 1816 Delga St., Fort Worth, TX 76102. We will gather for a Wake on March 20, 2026, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, to honor her memory with shared reflections and reverence.
